Samsung needed a film that could carry itself without dialogue, two minutes of visual storytelling held together by music alone. Working with FP7, WithFeeling composed Samsung original music with Spanish-style instrumentation and a nostalgic emotional arc, designed to be the voice of the picture.
THE CHALLENGE
Tell a two-minute story without a single word spoken. The music had to do all the heavy lifting (set the place, set the mood, carry the characters and land the emotional payoff). Nostalgic but never heavy, Spanish in feel but never costume-drama, always in service of the picture.
THE APPROACH
WithFeeling built the Samsung original music around classical Spanish guitar, layered strings and warm percussion, with melodic ideas that quietly evolve as the film unfolds. Composed and arranged in close collaboration with FP7 and Samsung, every musical beat locked to picture so the film could feel through-composed from frame one to the end.
THE RESULT
An original score that becomes the storytelling. A nostalgic, Spanish-feeling two-minute piece that carries Samsung’s film from start to finish without ever needing a line of dialogue.
