The Dubai World Cup 2025 closing ceremony lasted nearly 20 minutes in front of more than 65,000 at Meydan Racecourse, with 5,983 drones forming the world’s largest flying LED screen, synchronised pyrotechnic aircraft, lasers and fireworks. WithFeeling’s sonic identity for Dubai Racing Club, the “Dubai Millennium” hero track and its variations, scored the show.
THE CHALLENGE
Build music that could carry a show breaking Guinness World Records over Meydan. 5,983 drones forming 3D sculptures of UAE leadership, horses and the World Cup trophy. Synchronised pyrotechnic aircraft. An Arabic song featuring verses from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed. The score had to feel as ambitious as the spectacle, with the flexibility to land every beat of a 20-minute live moment.
THE APPROACH
WithFeeling built the show music around the sonic identity we had already created for Dubai Racing Club. “Dubai Millennium” anchored the cinematic moments. Variations of the hero track, the sonic logo and bespoke cues scored each section: the drone choreography, the aerial pyrotechnic display, the Sheikh Mohammed verses, and the World Cup trophy reveal. One continuous sonic arc across 20 minutes of spectacle.
THE RESULT
A record-breaking closing ceremony scored by the WithFeeling sonic identity, watched live by more than 65,000 at Meydan and millions more around the world. Three Guinness World Records set on the night, and one more proof point that a well-built sonic identity can carry not just a brand, but an event of this scale.
