Managing Director

Chris Atkins

A Co-Founder and Managing Director of WithFeeling, Chris is an all-around creative, experienced senior music producer and award-winning multi-media specialist with twenty years of experience. Chris has a background in music strategy, consultancy, music production and talent management for leading brands, including BBC World Service and Expo 2020 Dubai. 

In his role at Expo 2020 Dubai, Chris led the creation of the Official Theme Song “This is Our Time” while also producing Expo 2020’s sonic branding and identity. Chris led the design and production of the audio strategy that delighted visitors for six months through the soundscapes across all public spaces and was responsible for the audio and media production for many bespoke events, conferences as well as exhibitions spaces. In his multimedia production role, Chris also led a team of Animators and Designers who created thousands of pieces of content displayed on the 500 screens every day for six months.

In his career, Chris has worked across multiple aspects of music and sound production, including sound design and Foley recording on thousands of commercials and films in different languages, with many winning regional and international awards.

Chris was recently awarded the UAE Golden Visa for his creative work spanning over 17 years in Dubai, during which he has developed a keen interest on the sounds of the region and built an extensive network of talents in the music and cultural industries.

Joe Dickinson

As the Chief Music Officer of WithFeeling, Joe brings a global reputation and a rare ability to draw from many different influences in order to compose within any style. From orchestral, action-packed scores to authentic Arabic pieces or the latest commercial hit sounds, Joe’s expertise enables him to adapt to any genre and create the perfect music to complement any brief.

Having spent over a decade working in the Middle East as one of Dubai’s most in-demand composers, Joe’s understanding of world music styles has been finely tuned – as has his ability to work to the strictest deadlines, fulfil the most pressing requests, and do it all with a renowned positive and professional attitude that sees agencies return to him time and time again.

Previous global brands that have benefitted from Joe’s musical mastery include McDonald’s, Nivea, Sony, Cadillac, Microsoft and many more. He has been responsible for creating original soundtracks for some of the UAE’s biggest and most elaborate landmarks and events, including Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Dubai Parks and Resorts, UAE National Day ceremonies, and the world’s only seven-star hotel, The Burj Al Arab.

Currently based in London, Joe is also the composer behind the official Expo 2020 Dubai theme song This is our Time, where he worked closely with Chris and the Expo team to create an anthem that befitted the theme, values, and aspirations of this first mega-event in the region.

Dr Federica Busa
Advisor and Strategy Lead

Dr. Federica Busa

With an international career spanning the US, Europe and Middle East, in both private and public sectors, Federica is a specialist in bridging innovation, strategy and marketing.  She has a successful track-record of engaging people of all walks of life around emerging ideas and complex challenges using both traditional and innovative formats and content through experiential design, branding and thought leadership.

During her decade-long engagement with Expo 2020 Dubai, Federica led the development of Expo’s thematic framework and content, from bid conception to delivery. From the original definition and development of the theme, to bringing the theme to life as Senior Vice President for Visitor Experience, she led the design and delivery of experiential content across the public spaces ensuring that it was relatable and memorable for all visitors. Federica also designed and launched the World Majlis programme, contributing over 50 thematic conversations, with over 500 global participants in collaboration with 30+ countries. In parallel, she was responsible for curating the official publications of Expo 2020 Dubai, which document the event and establish a strong legacy.

Prior to joining the universe of World Expos and mega events as Advisor to the Secretary General of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), Federica held a variety of positions in both the private sector and academia bridging emerging technologies and marketing. As Director of Marketing for Publicis Technology in Paris she helped reposition the brand in the growing areas of e-commerce and on-line customer relationships at the time, and between 1996 and 2002, she actively contributed to the emerging field of natural language processing both in academia and in the development of new businesses ventures in the US and Italy. 

Federica has a PhD in Computer Science from Brandeis University Volen Centre for Complex Systems and a Master Degree from MIT Sloan School of Management. She is a published author in the field of theoretical and applied linguistics, as well as on regional subjects that support her home community in Italy.

Safia Al Shehi
Advisor and Voice Talent Lead

Safia Al Shehi

Safia Al Shehi is an Emirati TV presenter, moderator, writer, voiceover artist and MC for private and government events. She is one of the most sought-after voiceovers in the UAE and was the Official Voiceover for EXPO 2020 Dubai.

Safia is an award-winning presenter in the region and is well-known for TV programmes such as ‘Read For You’ and ‘Abu Dhabi Reads’. For the past eighteen years, she has been the voice of many international and local forums, conferences, symposia and seminars spanning diverse fields including Culture, Economy and Social Affairs.

Safia is also a thought leader in her field having published three books: Post Media Reflections – Reading in the Media Scene; Behind the Microphone; and Open Spirit – Literary Readings. In addition to her contribution in media studies she has written two children’s books: The Golden Bird and Maha and the Paper.

Tom Callaghan

Tom Callaghan

Before a second career as a successful crime writer known for his Inspector Borubaev novels, Tom Callaghan was a senior creative at leading international agencies in London, New York and Dubai.

Lee Turner

As a composer, Lee has worked on many BBC radio packages as well as TV /Radio/Corporate jobs for clients such as French Connection, Lego, Hasbro, Capital Radio, BBDO & Bauer Media Group. Lee has composed music for many production libraries including BMG, Felt Music, EMI, Loaded Music Production, Bauer Media.

Lee also composes bespoke music for events. Lee’s music has been used on the Dubai Fountains (by the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Opera house in Downtown Dubai), the Dubai Plan 2021 Event, RTA Anniversary Event, The Inauguration of The King Abdullah Centre for World Culture Event in Saudi Arabia, the Inauguration Of Addiryah, Saudi Arabia in November 2018 and Lee was also commissioned to write the theme music for the ‘Centre For Combating Extremist Ideology’ in Riyadh, opened by President Donald Trump and the King Of Saudi Arabia. Lee created the music for an hour-long firework display celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Constitution of Kuwait in Kuwait City. At the time, this was the largest ever firework display the world has ever seen, costing approximately $16 million dollars and featuring 77,282 fireworks.

Lee worked extensively with Island Records artists The Yeah You’s album ‘Looking Through You’, German Girl Band Queensberry’s album ‘On My Own’ & German ‘Popstars’ winners Some & Any on their debut album ‘First Shot’. I also supported Beyonce on her ‘I Am…’ UK Arena tour with Sony artist Zarif, as well as supporting the likes of The Script, Chris Brown, Savage Garden, Madness, Fun Lovin Criminals, Newton Falkner, The Feeling, Stereophonics & Razorlight.


Harrison King

Harrison King is a music composer and sound designer for media specialising in cinematic and orchestral genres. Previous projects include trailers, film, television, sonic branding, advertising, events and more.

He studied Music Composition and Professional Practice at Coventry University UK, with an exchange year majoring in music at the University of Windsor, Canada. Working as a freelancer since 2015 out of Abu Dhabi U.A.E, his music has been featured in numerous projects and productions with the likes of Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures, Nat Geo, Emirates, Marvel, BBC, Nissan, and many more.


David Saunders

David Saunders is a composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist from the UK. Scoring movies in London and Los Angeles for over a decade, he brings his experience in motion picture soundtrack to commercial brands and events.
Recent scoring credits include Netflix features I USED TO BE FAMOUS starring Ed Skrein, GUN SHY starring Antonio Banderas and Olga Kurylenko, Netflix shows THE I-LAND and AARON HERNANDEZ: THE KILLER INSIDE, MY DEAD DAD starring Raymond Cruz, and upcoming video game TUNGSTEN: ARMORED OUTLAW.
