Here’s a fun one for Friday. Our composers worked their magic to bring out the comedy in this little skit for Geico in the States. Enjoy, and have a great weekend!

GEICO is a well-known insurance company that has worked with The Martin Agency for over 20 years to make commercials that people remember. Their method works because they use cute characters, humour, and simple one-liners in their ads in a smart way. The best GEICO commercials have strong plots, interesting characters, show the main idea well, use humour that doesn't offend, and are well made. Many ads, like Nike's "Just Do It" and Old Spice's "The Man Your Man Could Smell Like," have been popular for years because they are creative and different. Others, like Pepsi's "Live for Now" and Peloton's holiday ad, have been criticised for being controversial or missing the point. In this post, we'll look at some of GEICO's most famous ads and figure out what makes them work.

Advertising and other creative projects can be made funnier with the help of music and sound. There are a lot of different ways to use audio to make people laugh, from cleverly written lyrics to funny sound effects and voiceovers. At WithFeeling, we have a team of talented composers and sound designers who know how to use music and sound to make funny moments that people will remember. We would love to hear from you if you want to use music and sounds to make your next project more funny. Send us an email at hello@withfeeling.com to find out more about how we can help you make your ideas come to life.

Did you know that the renowned Gecko used by GEICO almost never appeared on film? A cartoon character named "Martin" who was a cross between a Vizsla and a Weimaraner dog breed served as the inspiration for the character's original design. The plan was abandoned, though, because animating fur would be too challenging. The Gecko, voiced by actor Jake Wood, made his advertising debut in 1999 and has since grown in popularity. WithFeeling is always ready to use music and sound to enhance the storytelling because we enjoy watching creative ideas come to life. We're here to help you realise your vision, whether it's a cute gecko or a clever one-liner. To find out more about our audio branding services, email us at hello@withfeeling.com. Enjoy your weekend!
