As the UAE marks Emirati Women's Day today, the 28th of August 2023, we join in celebrating the immense achievements and contributions of Emirati women. Under the inspiring guidance of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, this year's theme, "We Collaborate for Tomorrow," perfectly captures the essence of Emirati women's collaborative spirit, resonating with UAE's overarching 2023 theme of “Today for Tomorrow”.

It is truly remarkable to see how Emirati women have been at the forefront of sustainable development, addressing global challenges in energy and climate change. Their outstanding roles in leadership, political participation, and decision-making are testament to their prowess and capabilities. The figures speak for themselves - with women holding 27.5% of ministerial roles and a commendable 50% representation in the Federal National Council, the UAE stands as a beacon for women’s empowerment not just in the Arab world but on the global stage.

Ranking first in the Arab world in the UNDP 2022 Gender Inequality Index, the World Bank's "Women, Business and the Law Report 2023", and the WEF 2022 Global Gender Gap Report, the UAE continues to set a gold standard. With proactive legislative reforms enhancing women’s rights in various domains, from work to political participation, the nation's commitment to its women is undeniable.

So, as we celebrate Emirati Women's Day, let's appreciate the strength, resilience, and ambition of every Emirati woman. Here's to the strides they've made, and to the many more they're yet to achieve.
