Tahaab Rais, Creative Director "The idea for The Emirates Constellation came from a wish to mark the 50th anniversary of the United Arab Emirates with something meaningful and well-known. The idea came from Tahaab, who loves astronomy and is amazed by the beauty of the night sky. As he played cricket in his backyard one night, he looked up at the stars and, as he often did, started to see shapes in the sky. Unconsciously, he was thinking about the UAE's 50th National Day, and he saw the shape of the country. He realised that the UAE, which has done so much in just 50 years, deserved a celebration that was just as iconic. So, the idea was born to honour the UAE by making a constellation in the sky."
