This was a pure original music brief, with no library tracks and no shortcuts, just a score written from scratch to fit the spot frame by frame.

THE CHALLENGE

The music had to carry the narrative and the emotion of ‘Adrift’ on its own, setting the pace, shaping the mood and guiding the audience through the story from the first beat to the last.

THE APPROACH

We scored the film to picture, building original themes around its key moments so the music could rise and fall with the action and land every turn in the story exactly where it needed to.

THE RESULT

The finished score gives ‘Adrift’ a voice of its own, an original piece of music that tells the story as clearly as the visuals and stays with the viewer after it ends.
