GCC PAVILION: THE SOUND OF SIX STREAMS BECOMING ONE
At Expo Doha, the GCC Pavilion told a story of unity and sustainability: six water streams merging around a single sphere, the desert answered by the oasis. WithFeeling composed and designed the sound that carries visitors through it.
THE CHALLENGE
A pavilion is architecture with a message, and this one spoke in symbols: water as the essence of life, the oasis as innovation, six nations moving as one. The sound had to translate those symbols into feeling, for every visitor, in every language.
THE APPROACH
We built an immersive soundscape that flows the way the pavilion does: from the vastness of the desert into the lush reprieve of the oasis, gathering like the six streams as they merge. Music and sound design move with the visitor, so the story is heard as much as seen.
THE RESULT
A sound experience that completes the architecture: calm, continuous and quietly monumental, giving the pavilion’s message of unity a voice that stays with visitors after they leave.
