BURJ AL ARAB: ORIGINAL MUSIC
Jumeirah commissioned a series of films, the Gold Standard of Romance, celebrating the iconic Burj Al Arab. The final film needed a score that could carry the storytelling without leaning on dialogue, a piece of music that would land as the closing chapter of the series. WithFeeling composed the original music in partnership with Filmworks, designed to feel cinematic, emotional and unmistakably aligned with the Burj Al Arab brand.
THE CHALLENGE
Score the closing chapter of a luxury film series for one of the most iconic hotels in the world. The music had to feel romantic without sliding into pastiche, cinematic without dominating the picture, and unmistakably Burj Al Arab in its sense of place. Above all, it had to make the audience feel the arc of the story land.
THE APPROACH
WithFeeling built the Burj Al Arab original music around a slow-build orchestral arrangement, with delicate piano motifs, layered strings and warm woodwinds. As a result, the score evolves with the storytelling: it starts intimate, then opens up into a romantic, cinematic finish. Composed and arranged in close partnership with Filmworks, every musical beat locked to the picture.
THE RESULT
An original score that becomes the storytelling. A romantic, cinematic piece of music that closes the Gold Standard of Romance series with the emotional weight it deserves, and gives Burj Al Arab a sonic moment as iconic as the building itself.
