Royal Casino has built its reputation on bold, witty advertising that defies the dry conventions of the gambling industry. Notably, their films lean into humour, character and unexpected creative turns.
As a result, the sound design for Royal Casino lives or dies in the timing. Every gag has to land, every reaction has to register, every cut has to feel as confident as the writing.
THE CHALLENGE
Royal Casino’s films thrive on absurd characters, punchlines and visual gags. The sound design therefore needed to do more than support the picture.
Indeed, it had to land every comic beat, deliver every reaction, and give the world of the film its own texture without ever upstaging the writing.
Furthermore, the mix had to feel polished enough for premium broadcast while staying loose enough for digital and social cut-downs.
THE APPROACH
WithFeeling led the sound design and mix from scratch. Notably, every gag, gesture and transition got its own audible cue, layered to match the tone of the writing and the rhythm of the edit.
Foley, sweeteners, atmospheres and dynamic mix decisions were all built in-house. Meanwhile, working alongside WPC, we shaped the sonic feel of the film for both broadcast and digital.
As a result, the comedy stays crisp, the production stays confident, and the Royal Casino sound design works hard while feeling effortless.
THE RESULT
The final film feels alive. Notably, the sound design lands every laugh while giving the visuals room to breathe.
As a result, Royal Casino’s latest film carries the brand’s signature wit with a sonic confidence to match. International work for an international brand.
