For UAE National Day, WithFeeling was asked to write the score for a show at Al Wasl Plaza, the soaring centrepiece dome at the heart of Expo City Dubai. It was a chance to give one of the country’s proudest celebrations a sound to match.

NATIONAL DAY

Al Wasl Plaza is a stage like few others, a vast 360-degree projection dome built for spectacle, and a National Day show there calls for music with real emotion and scale.

THE CHALLENGE

The brief was to capture the pride and emotion of National Day in a single piece, a beautiful score that could fill the dome and move a live audience while honouring the spirit of the occasion.

THE APPROACH

We composed an inspiring orchestral score, rich and cinematic, building from tender, reflective moments to a soaring, celebratory climax designed to move in step with the lights and visuals of the show.

THE RESULT

The result is a beautiful, uplifting piece of music that gave the National Day celebration at Al Wasl Plaza the grandeur it deserved, a score as inspiring as the moment it marked.
