When The Ministry of Tourism of Saudi Arabia: the sound of Saudi briefed us to translate “Endless Discovery” into a sonic identity, the ambition was unmistakable. Saudi Arabia is a destination rich in contrast and character, where ancient rhythms meet visionary transformation. Creating a sound worthy of representing an entire nation was both an honour and a challenge.

When the Ministry of Tourism of Saudi Arabia asked us to translate the idea of “Endless Discovery” into sound, we knew the brief carried unusual weight. We weren’t being asked to score a campaign — we were being asked to capture the audible soul of a country where ancient traditions sit alongside one of the most ambitious transformation stories of our time. The work needed to feel unmistakably Saudi, emotionally resonant for those who call the Kingdom home, and instantly compelling to anyone hearing it for the first time. Authenticity wasn’t negotiable, but neither was reach.
Saudi Arabia’s musical heritage is anything but singular. The Hijazi mizmar, the Najdi tabl, the Khaleeji rhythms of the East — each region carries its own instruments, cadences, and centuries of memory. Our task was to honour every thread of that tapestry while weaving it into something unified and contemporary; a sound capable of carrying the warmth of Saudi hospitality, the breadth of its landscapes, and the forward momentum of Vision 2030 — all while flexing comfortably across global ceremonies, broadcast moments, and the smallest digital touchpoints.
We approached the composition as a cinematic journey. The Hero Brand Track opens with traditional instrumentation at its core — the heartbeat of the duff, the voice of the rabab, the reflective pull of regional chants, much of it recorded with traditional vocalists and choirs to keep the human character intact. From there, the qanun, ney, and oud carry the emotional middle, evoking the everyday rhythms of marketplaces, gatherings, and regional dance. Modern production textures then enter to mirror the Kingdom’s ambition, before the samri beat resolves everything into a celebratory crescendo built to move people, whether they hear it in a cinema, a stadium, or a global livestream.
From that hero piece we developed three core emotional expressions, all sharing the same melodic DNA — Ahluha for warmth and people, OGCF (Our Guest Comes First) for nature and heritage, and Prosper for innovation and ambition. A dance-inspired remix extends the identity into youth and tourism territory. The whole system is modular by design, so it can scale from a quiet digital moment to a stadium opening without losing its centre of gravity.
The identity premiered at the 26th UN Tourism General Assembly in Riyadh, where more than 160 international delegations heard The Sound of Saudi for the first time. It was described as the sound of a nation opening itself to the world, and has since been adopted as the official sonic signature across the Ministry’s campaigns, events, and platforms. For us, it stands as one of the most culturally grounded sonic identities we’ve ever built — proof of what becomes possible when creativity, research, and national vision pull in the same direction.
