Los Angeles, a line of Mustangs, red, green Boss and black Shelby GT500, and the people who stop to look. Ford’s spot is about the pull of the car as much as the car itself, and WithFeeling composed the original music for it.
THE CHALLENGE
The Ford Mustang is one of the most iconic cars ever built, a symbol of American muscle and freedom that has stirred emotions for generations. The challenge with a legend like this is living up to the myth: a sound with real swagger and adrenaline, capturing the raw character of the Mustang while feeling cinematic and contemporary rather than nostalgic.
THE APPROACH
The Mustang’s own sound sets the bar, so the music was written to sit with it rather than over it: a driving rhythm with real swagger, and a build that mirrors the cars gathering through the city while leaving room for the engines to speak.
THE RESULT
A track with the attitude of the car, contemporary rather than nostalgic, that helps Ford Performance sell the feeling before the spec.
